A local South Texas nonprofit is lifting military members and veterans up with some musical motivation. Founded by veterans for veterans, this initiative is dedicated to helping soldiers voice their feelings and have their calls beckoned.

Soldier Songs and Voices is a nonprofit born out of a love of the United States military.  More importantly, the initiative focuses on the men and women who serve the red, white and blue as members of the armed forces.  On a monthly basis, the group of musicians and military men meet up to compose and write music that highlights the stories of their brothers and sisters who have served and continued to serve their nation.

The nonprofit also helps other soldiers by offering free songwriting and guitar lessons.  In doing so, Soldier Songs and Voices hopes to offer military members a way of dealing with the emotions brought on by post war conflict and the battle faced in returning home to civilian life.  As always, Jeff Ber supports and salutes creative efforts to give back to the community;  veterans and currently serving soldiers are certainly deserving of that musical motivation.
